Malaysia will again be going under lockdown for two weeks starting 12.01am on Wednesday (13 January) in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 which has reached record numbers in the past few days.

There will be no interstate travel allowed nationwide.
Meanwhile, where infection rates are especially high, social activities are also not allowed in some states under MCO, namely:
- Federal Territories – Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan
- Pulau Pinang
States that will undergo Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) are:
- Negeri Sembilan
Only two states will continue under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO):
The Prime Minister also added that as of 11 January 2021, 70% infection cases involve Malaysians and only 30% involve non-Malaysian citizens.
