Gardenia Confirms Price Increase For Select Bread Items From 1st December Onwards

The price increase is due to a hike in raw material prices.

After a Facebook post of the news went viral yesterday, Astro Awani has managed to confirm with local breadmakers Gardenia Bakeries Sdn Bhd that some of their products will increase in price starting tomorrow.

According to the report, Gardenia announced in a statement that several of their products will see an increase in prices up to RM0.20 cents starting 1 December 2020.

These revised prices were made due to rising prices of raw materials such as vegetable fat, cocoa powder, milk, and packaging.

Gardenia’s New Prices Effective 1st December

With an increase of RM0.05 cents, the following products will now be priced at RM1.10:

  1. Gardenia Squiggles Funky Strawberry
  2. Gardenia Squiggles Choco Malto
  3. Gardenia Delicia Soft Roll Butter Toffee
  4. Gardenia Delicia Soft Roll Sambal Bilis
  5. Gardenia Fluffy Red Beans

Meanwhile, the following products will be experiencing RM0.20 cents price hike to RM4.70.

  1. The Gardenia Toast’em Butter Raisin
  2. Gardenia Delicia Butterscotch
  3. Gardenia Delicia Choco Raisin
  4. Gardenia Delicia Raspberry Milk & Cranberries

Our focus now is to continue to increase efforts to optimise productivity and operational efficiency.

The popular bread company also stated that their decision to increase product prices was the last resort, and assured that the price of their other products remains the same.
