Covid-19: Negeri Sembilan Overtakes Selangor In Highest Daily New Cases With Massive New Cluster
Most of the cases in Negeri Sembilan were detected inside a prison.

With 318 new Covid-19 cases today, Negeri Sembilan has overtaken Selangor with the higher number of new daily cases. Selangor only recorded 115 cases today.
According to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the high number of new cases today in Negeri Sembilan is attributed to cases detected within prison clusters.
He mentioned the Bakti Cluster in particular, which involves a prison in Seremban The cluster recorded 301 cases today alone, bringing the total number of cases in this cluster to 329 cases.
To date, a total of 911 individuals in this cluster have been screened by the Health Ministry.
The index case of the Bakti Cluster, Case-54,624, was an inmate who tested positive on 22 November during an entry screening in the prison.
Meanwhile, Malaysia has recorded a total of 970 cases nationwide today, bringing the cumulative number of cases across the country to 59,817.
At the same time, the country has hit a new record high of new Covid-19 recoveries in a day with 2,348 patients confirmed free from the virus.
