Covid-19: Record-Breaking 1,884 New Cases Today, Led By Klang Valley
A majority of the new infections came from Selangor with 1,203 cases.

Malaysia made a sombre new Covid-19 record today with a whopping 1,884 new cases – the highest EVER daily infection recorded.
According to Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, a majority of the new infections came from Selangor with 1,203 infections, or 63.9% of the new cases.
This is followed by Sabah with 289 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 196 cases.

Klang Valley leading in infections
Dr Noor Hisham stated that a majority of the infections in Klang Valley today sprung from workplace-related clusters – namely Teratai Cluster (1,067) and Damanlela Cluster (101 cases)
Teratai Cluster is linked to the Top Glove factory and worker’s hostel in Klang, Selangor.
Malaysiakini reports that most of the Top Glove factory workers in Klang found positive lived at the hostels along Jalan Teratai in Meru.
Cases at the factory were initially reported on 5 November with 17 employees testing positive for Covid-19 following a screening exercise. Teratai Cluster was later confirmed by the Health Ministry on 7 November.

The male and female hostels were placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from 17th until 30th November.
Earlier today, the National Security Council (NSC) said today it has decided to close the factories of glove manufacturer Top Glove Corporation Bhd in stages.
