Periodic screenings for Ministry of Health (KKM) frontliners found three staff members testing positive for Covid-19 in a Sabah dialysis centre.

Following contact tracing procedures, they found 16 other cases linked to the Cluster Dialisis, which was identified today.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah noted that the virus is already within the community in Sabah, which is why clusters are popping up and are harder to contain.

The Cluster Dialisis is concentrated in Sandakan and Lahad Datu in Sabah. With 14 new cases found today, the total cases within the cluster has grown to 19 infections.

Sadly, one patient has passed on, while the remaining 18 are currently active cases.
