We’ll find out on October 26 at the latest whether or not the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will end as scheduled on October 27.

At his daily MCO briefing today, Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the matter will be discussed and an announcement will be made whether to extend it or not a day before it ends at the latest.

He said the process involves the Health Ministry collecting data, analyzing it, and then advising the National Security Council.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya were put under CMCO for two weeks starting October 14 after cases here increased.

As of 23 October, Selangor has 1,184 active Covid-19 cases while Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya have 141 and 23 active cases respectively.
