Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed a new multi-state Covid-19 cluster that spans Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor.
Speaking from his home at the daily Covid-19 briefing, Dr Noor Hisham explained that the new Kencana Cluster involves several districts in the three states which are:
- Selangor – Hulu Langat, Petaling, Klang, Gombak
- Kuala Lumpur – Cheras
- Johor – Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat and Pontian
Index case (Case 13,805) tested positive on 7 October after displaying symptoms and was admitted to Sungai Buloh for treatment.
Screening of the patient’s close contacts revealed 16 more positive infections.
The Health Ministry revealed that 23 individuals have been tested for the coronavirus with four negative results and two more pending.
This multi-state cluster currently has 17 Covid-19 infections.
