(PKR) President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had a brief audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, at the Istana Negara on October 13, 2020.

His motorcade was seen arriving at the palace gates at around 10.30 am to a crowd of journalists and was said to meet with the King at 11 am.

He later left the palace compound some half an hour later and would reportedly be making an important announcement at 2 pm Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier, the Opposition leader had posted a picture of himself with his wife and Former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, hoping that the day would go smoothly.

On September 23, Anwar had announced that he had a “formidable” majority in Parliament to form a new government and had since sought the King’s audience to present his proof.

However, their meeting was postponed due to His Majesty’s being admitted to the hospital.
