Malaysians were moved by footage of an Indonesian healthcare professional getting ready for work.

Twitter user yourlocalshawty, shared her melancholic concern when she witnessed a video showing how a doctor would meticulously get dressed in layer-upon-layer of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Though less than a minute long, the video showed the man painstakingly assembling his outfit, starting with a plastic surgical cap, two different pairs of face masks, and finally completed by a full bodysuit with a pair of goggles.

As he gets ready, the man is also seen making sure that every exposed part between the PPE and his face is sealed with multiple strips of tape.

After watching the video, netizens came to empathize with what the man and other healthcare workers around the world are going through in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Some were even curious to know how these dedicated people go about their day in such suffocating conditions.

The video also captivated several other Malaysian social media users to share their personal experiences working dressed in full protective gear.

Digging a little deeper, TRP discovered that the video is actually half of a two-part confession from Agustian Candra – supposedly a surgeon working at the Semen Padang Hospital in West Sumatra – who was apparently infected with Covid-19

In the second video, Agustian is seen transported in an ambulance before finally lying in a hospital triage ward with an intravenous (IV) drip up his arm.

Agustian mentions how he misses his parents deeply and with his voice breaking, apologized to them if he never makes it home.

God willing, I’ve been honest in my work. This is just part of the risks I take in my career. Usually busy with the every day, giving advice to patients. Now it’s my turn to survive and encourage myself to fight and overcome it all…
