Ustaz Ebit Lew has recently apologised to the management of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) for his effort in sending stranded students of the university home.
Recently, celebrity Ustaz Ebit reportedly rented as many as 20 busses to send students of UPSI back home. The students had reportedly been turned away by their university after the Higher Education Ministry issued a last-minute policy change on new semester registrations.
The last-minute policy change had left many students across the country stuck and stranded. Ustaz Ebit was merely doing his part in assisting the helpless students, as many other Malaysians were also doing.
Following that, UPSI management released an official statement over Ustaz Ebit’s actions.
The statement started by thanking Ustaz Ebit on his initiative to offer the helpless students assistance in getting them back home. However, the statement read, his actions had not adhered to the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the university.
The preacher, ever patient and honourable, then issued his own open apology letter to the university’s management for failing to discuss the issue with them first before he decided to send a group of their students back home.
He added that he has since decided to halt the rental of the 20 busses for the time being until he receives proper permission from the university to continue helping their students.
His Facebook followers immediately came to his support, thanking him for his kindness and wished him patience in dealing with any problems he may face while he does good deeds.
