Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has been sassing netizens on Twitter, alluding to the possibility of a second Movement Control Order (MCO) lockdown.

It appears that the lax way Malaysians have been treating interstate travel is of concern to the Health DG, particularly as Malaysians return to other parts of the country from Sabah.

While a few days ago, Malaysians were alarmed that returnees from Sabah would not need to undergo quarantine if they tested negative at the airport, yet the government stood by the decision.

However, it seems that in his Tweets, Dr Noor Hisham does not seem to agree with the decision, citing that doing so will lead us ‘back to square one’.

Rates of positive Covid-19 cases are skyrocketing in Malaysian states again. In fact, the rate of transmission of the virus is much higher than the rate in Sabah.

The R0 for Selangor has already crossed the critical threshold of 1.6. The country is veering dangerously into the possibility of a second lockdown.

It’s no wonder that Dr Noor Hisham, who has been at it 24/7 since the first lockdown 7 months ago, is starting to get a little salty that the cases have risen sharply again.
