Having your photography skills recognised by a huge global brand is a pretty big deal – which is why Malaysian student Muhammad Faris Danial Mohd Faizal is practically bursting with joy when his stunning picture of a dreamy paddy field got featured on Apple’s Instagram page!

The stunning image of a paddy field in Sabak Bernam, Selangor has garnered over 200,000 likes on Apple’s Instagram page with proud Malaysians leaving supportive comments as well.

You could hear the wind blow through this paddy field. It was relaxing to hear the birds chirping and frogs croaking, an entirely different environment than I’m used to in the city.

The 19-year-old student told Astro Awani that the image was taken on a family vacation at Sabak Bernam, Selangor last July when he came across the serene view.

I took the picture with my iPhone XR around 6.30pm, when the sun was setting and I thought that it was a beautiful time to take a picture.

He also revealed that this isn’t the first time that his picture has been recognised by the global technology company.

In fact, Faris told the news site that this is the second time Apple’s official account featured his photography, with a jumpshot picture of his displayed in a compilation with other photographers back in 2018.

The young Malaysian told mStar that he began delving into photography at the age of 16 and was keen to hone his skills by delving into various genres, including nature photography, portraits, urban photography, and more.

“I don’t limit myself when it comes to genres of photography,” said the budding graphic design student.

Looks like his hard work is paying off, and we can’t wait to see more from Faris!
