The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Pitas State Assembly (DUN), Sufian Abdul Karim has tested positive for Covid-19.
He said on Facebook that he received the results of the screening test today.
I would like to apologize to all the voters, election machinery, friends and relatives who helped throughout the campaign. Pray for me to be given the strength to face this test and recover immediately.

In the same post, Sufian also requested his close contacts to take precautions and conduct a health screenings.
Previously, Umno Supreme Council Member, Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii and Umno Information Chief, Shahril Sufian Hamdan were also confirmed positive for Covid-19.
