Starbucks has teamed up with a Malaysian artist on a special art-themed Merdeka-month auction day, for charity.

Local 27-year-old freelance artist, Luqman Hakim, drew recent attention for his one-of-a-kind sketch of Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah neatly caricatured on a reusable Starbucks paper coffee cup.

As an extra special treat in lieu of the nation’s 63rd independence celebration, for today and today only, Starbucks Malaysia will be auctioning off exclusive reusable cups specially etched with Luqman’s creative work to the highest bidder.

The auction will feature 5 reusable cups with hand-made designs inspired by Malaysian frontliners who have championed our country’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The auction is set to take place online on Starbuck Malaysia’s official Facebook page on Monday, August 24 at 8 pm, with terms and conditions applied.

Proceeds from the auction will be contributed to a charity of Lukman’s choice.
