Malaysia’s Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, known as the nation’s face in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic was awarded the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’yatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

From now on, Malaysians will know the DG as Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The award and other titles were granted to Malaysian frontliners and Health Ministry (MOH) personnel in honor of the YDPA’s birthday which included the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador, the Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun and others.

Dr. Noor Hisham expressed his humble gratitude to be awarded the title saying that it represents the government’s appreciation towards the diligent efforts of the country’s frontliners during the Covid-19 crisis.
