After the vandalism of the viral “Covid-19 heroes” mural in Shah Alam shocked the nation earlier this week, the artist has revealed another mural dedicated to the heroes and frontliners.

Debuting the piece on social media, Suhaimi Ali’s artistic tribute adorns the wall of a building at Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara.

This time, it features portraits of frontliners and first-responders who play an important role in the fight against Covid-19 including food delivery riders, medical personnel, Bomba, police, RELA as well as Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah against the Malaysian flag.

The talented 27-year-old had begun work on 13th July, sharing updates on his social media and completed the stunning mural in less than a week.

With pictures of the new mural going viral now, many Malaysians were quick to threaten anyone who would dare vandalise this artwork.

Suhaimi’s previous “Covid-19 heroes” mural in Shah Alam was the subject of great attention and even earned personal visits by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and Health DG. It was painted over after vandals defaced the piece on 20 July.

The police are currently searching for the vandals.
