Although the country is starting to ease measures moving into the Recovery MCO (RMCO), Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia’s borders will still be tightened from time to time to ensure that infections are not brought in.

He said the Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the development of the pandemic across the globe and have paid attention to countries that have recorded an increase in the number of cases.

Besides that, Malaysians who are travelling back home will be isolated, quarantined and screened by the Ministry.

It’s one of the two steps taken by the country which has helped to stop the spread of the virus.

The other step, as Awani reported, was to isolate and treat those who are positive of the virus in the hospital.
