In a heartwarming post, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) shared a story of how some of their traffic police officers stopped traffic on Federal Highway earlier this morning to protect an injured dog.

The traffic police officers were from the Department of Traffic Investigation Enforcement, Shah Alam District Police Headquarters, Selangor.

The dog was hurt after being hit by a vehicle at kilometre 13.8 of Federal Highway towards Kuala Lumpur.

Even though they were busy ensuring the flow of traffic into the city was smooth and unaffected, they still provided assistance to the dog and ensured that it was safe and could walk again.

The post drew plenty of positive responses from netizens, many praising the police officers for their humanity and compassion towards the wounded animal.

This isn’t the first time our police officers have gone above and beyond to save animals. Previously, a police officer saved a puppy stuck in a drain and reunited the little doggy family.
