Form 5 & 6 Students To Start School On June 24
The Education Ministry (MOE) announced that schools would be reopened to secondary Form 5 and Form 6 students set to undertake their top-tier public examinations; SPM, SVM, STPM, STAM and equivalent international examinations, on June 24.
This would also apply to secondary school kids that are studying and staying at boarding schools.
All other school sessions (Form 5 below and primary school) are still to continue from home and the government is yet to decide when these students are to be allowed to return to the classroom.
MOE explained that schools would be operating under strict Covid-guidelines where temperature screenings, social distancing and other measures would be implemented throughout the remaining school year.
MOE also reminded parents to ensure that their kids are fit and healthy enough for school, as students who are ill or showing symptoms of illness would be prohibited from joining classes.
