RMAF Flies 2 Babies From Sarawak To KL To Seek Medical Attention

2 Sarawakian babies were airlifted out of Kuching, Sarawak to receive medical attention at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur.
The mercy mission flight was mounted by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) along with doctors and medical equipment from the Sarawak General Hospital (HUS), where they were both treated previously.
11-day-old Nick Ahmad Shah suffers from a condition known as a “Partially Obstructed Total Anomalous Pulmonary Vein Drainage”, while 2-month-old Muhamad Akid Aqil has the condition called “Congenital Heart Disease of Transposition of Great Arteries”.
The infants were flown together with their mothers from Kuching’s RMAF base on an Airbus A400M Atlas military transport plane which arrived safely at the Subang airbase in Selangor at just before 7am this morning (June 6).
