Teachers have been ordered to standby at their posts, signalling that schools may reopen soon.
A circular released by the Education Ministry today states that teachers are instructed to return to schools next week on 7th June and 8th June, following the end of the mid-year school holidays for each state.
Released by the Deputy Director-General of Education (School Operation Sector) Adzman Talib, the circular states that all civil servants are to return to their places of duty in preparation for their return to work.
The Education Ministry has also begun distributing a 34-page detailed guideline for reopening schools from today.
There is no official date for the reopening of schools. However, Education Minister Mohd Radzi Md Jidin states the announcement will be made two weeks prior.
