Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that the MEPS waiver for ATMs will still continue until the scheduled end of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) on 9th June.

The RM1 fee for interbank cash withdrawals made through MEPS has been waived in the early stages of the MCO on 6th April for the public’s convenience.

Many people may only be willing to travel to the closest bank for their cash withdrawal, even if it is not a bank they have an account with.

The fee exemption has benefited the public and made access easier, as well as avoiding congestion at bank counters.
