Three KL Bars Named Among The 50 Best Bars In Asia 2020

Three spirited bars in Kuala Lumpur have made it to Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2020!
The 5th edition of the 50 best bars in Asia list sponsored by Perrier was revealed via a virtual awards ceremony on 14th May with our local talents making it onto the prestigious list.
Bar Trigona at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur comes out on top as the Best Bar in Malaysia and at No 14 overall.

According to Asia’s 50 Best, the bar’s focus on Malaysian produce such as wild turmeric from Pahang and raw honey from local trigona bee hives proved to be a winning factor.
KL’s first rum bar, JungleBird at Bukit Damansara follows at No 37, while Coley’s in Bangsar comes in at No 48, praised for its contemporary creations that draw inspiration from Malaysian flavours.
To give you an idea of the type of drinks you can find at these bars, JungleBird serves up drinks like Cendol Colada and Nyonya Business (Peranakan flavours meets rum).
On the other hand, Coleys serves up cocktails like whiskey bubble tea and The Miloni – Milo with Negroni.
While the Covid-19 pandemic and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) means that visiting pubs and bars are out of the picture for now, that doesn’t mean that the local bar scene still shouldn’t be celebrated.
Despite the tough times, Asia’s 50 Best Bars states that the publication of the 2020 list is intended to provide recognition to the bars’ and their teams’ hard work over the past year . It hopes to instill optimism and positivity within the bar industry as Asia begins to open up.
