Only 2 Active Covid-19 Clusters Remain, Says Health D-G

There are only 2 active Covid-19 clusters that remain in the country – the construction site at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur and a shopping mall in Cheras with one new case for each location.

Cumulatively, the construction site has reported 31 cases while the shopping mall recorded 25, according to Ministry of Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

As for the Seri Petaling cluster, there are no new cases reported as of 16 May.

So far, 38,708 samples were collected from the Seri Petaling cluster, with 2,634 positive cases, involving 5 generations.

Dr Noor Hisham also said the trend is the same for areas under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCOs) as these locations have not recorded new cases.

This includes the Jalan Othman market in Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Baru Ibrahim Majid in Johor and the Makassar tabligh cluster in Sabah.
