Kuching Division Now A Yellow Zone

The Kuching Division is now a yellow zone after recording less than 40 cases daily in the last 14 days, according to Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah.

Made up of Kuching, Padawan, Sematan, Bau and Lundu districts, the Kuching division was declared a red zone in March after more than 100 cases were recorded in the area.

Now the state is free from Covid-19 red zones with the latest announcement.

In terms of number of infections in the state, Sarawak has recorded 544 positive cases as of May 15.

The first case recorded in the state was on March 13 that stemmed from the Sri Petaling congregation.
