The Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex in Jalan Duta is being opened in stages but now has tighter security checks and measures for visitors, according to reports by Bernama.
Those visiting the courthouse are required to fill up a form before they are allowed to enter the building.
The court management has also prepared three separate entrances, one for the public, while the other two are reserved for lawyers and the press.
After visitors are given the permission to enter, their hands will be sprayed with hand sanitisers and their body temperatures will be recorded at the lobby.
Court room benches are also marked with an ‘X’ at a distance of a metre apart to observe social distancing and those within the building need to wear face masks.
This applies to judges, court lawyers, as well as the public.
It’s also reported that the same procedure was implemented at the Palace of Justice, Putrajaya; as well as the Kajang and Selayang Court.
