SOP For MCO Easing To Be Announced Soon, Says Health DG

The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the easing of the Movement Control Order will be announced soon, according to Ministry of Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He attributed the reduction in daily cases to the enforcement of the MCO which has reduced the risk of the virus from spreading rapidly, as seen with the number of new cases in just double digit for more than a week.

Even though the country is relaxing its measures domestically, authorities will strengthen border controls to reduce the number of imported cases.

However, Malaysians should still practice preventive guidelines set by the Ministry to ensure that the risk can be reduced, he said.
