Malaysians are determined to celebrate Ramadhan with their families during this movement control order (MCO), even if they can’t be together physically.

Savvy Malaysian gamers are recreating their beloved kampungs in popular game Sims 4, a virtual world where you can customize your house, life, and characters.

One gamer even created her own tom yam restaurant, which drew praise for the shocking similarity to real life, down to the “akak and abang tom yam” wait staff uniform.

The Sims isn’t the only place that Malaysians have found solace at. Many have also been celebrating on another extremely popular game, Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch.

Including our favourite Raya foods such as lemang and rendang.

There’s no end to Malaysian creativity, and it’s heartwarming to see so many determined to celebrate Raya however they can.

How are you celebrating Raya this year? Share your thoughts with us on TRP’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
