During the daily Covid-19 briefing, Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed that a newborn baby was found to be positive of the virus.

The 18-day-old infant was born to a mother who was also Covid-19 positive.

However, the health authorities have no idea if the child got infected by the virus in the womb or after birth.

There is an issue of a pregnant woman (Covid-19 positive) who gave birth. Her child, who is 18 days old, has tested positive but there was no complications with the pregnancy and delivery.
