University students that arrived in Penang on the early morning of 28 April were happy, relieved, and grateful to be allowed to return home after being stranded on campus upon the implementation of the movement control order (MCO).
They expressed gratitude to all the parties involved with getting them home, especially the government, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Royal Malaysia Police and the Fire and Rescue Department.
Speaking to Bernama, Mohd Alif Fitri Mohd Sultan, 21, who is a student at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) said that he was relieved and happy when the bus he was on arrived at the Timur Laut District Police Headquarters (IPD), and thankful to finally be reunited with his family.
Alhamdulillah, we have arrived safely, there are no words to describe how happy and relieved we are at being able to go home after more than a month in the university college.
