Those who want to travel inter-state that’s permissible under the Movement Control Order (MCO) must first apply through the “Gerak Malaysia” app starting 26 April.

The police has announced that those who are eligible can apply online after inter-state travel was authorised for 3 days from 1 May to 3 May, according to Bernama.

Bukit Aman CID Director Datuk Huzir Mohamed also said applicants can check their online application on 1 May.

Those who don’t have the app can also submit a written application for a permit at the nearest police station but priority would be given to those who’ve applied through the app.

The police also reminded that eating facilities and suraus will be closed at Rest and Recreation (R&R) stops, while any congregational prayer activities are not allowed in the area.

Only public toilets would be operational while the car park area is reserved for people to rest from travelling but they’re not allowed to go out of their cars except if they want to use the toilet.

Petrol stations will be operational from 6 am to 12 am.

You can download the “Gerak Malaysia” from the Play Store or the App Store on your mobile device.
