The Movement Control Order (MCO) hasn’t been easy, especially on vulnerable communities like the elderly.

We’re reminded of this when ‎Muhammad Hafiz‎ took to Facebook to share an incident relating to a wheelchair-bound pak cik who was stranded by the roadside in Permatang Pauh, Penang.

According to his post, the elderly man was just discharged from Hospital Seberang Jaya. He told Muhammad Hafiz that someone helped send him to the bus stop and he was trying to get home.

Though he wanted to send the elderly man home, Muhammad Hafiz wasn’t sure if he could due to the MCO. So, he decided to call the police for help.

Soon, a patrol car from the Seberang Jaya Police Station arrived and the policeman along with the good samaritan helped the frail pak cik into the police car.

The incident ended on a happy note with the policeman sending the pak cik home.

This just goes to show how the community and authorities can work together to help each other during this difficult time. Let’s all help each other and a big thank you to the kind-hearted people who helped this pak cik!
