If you thought our Malaysian Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah couldn’t get any better, he just made the whole country swoon- again.
Twitter user Iman posted that his little sister wrote a letter to Dr Noor Hisham and enclosed a blue-white friendship bracelet.
I have made the blue LoomBand for you to thank you for all the work you are doing to help the people of Malaysia to stay safe and healthy during this virus outbreak.
Lara in her letter
While dated a month ago, no one was really expecting a reply considering how busy Dr Noor Hisham must be while handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Yet reply he did, with a letter of his own, complete with the official Ministry of Health letterhead and everything.
He starts off thanking Lara for the friendship bracelet, saying that his granddaughter loves it.
Your words are too kind but I am not doing it alone. I am lucky to have a great team with me to help our country. Fellow Malaysians like yourself have been a wonderful help by playing your part by staying at home.
Datuk Dr Noor Hisham’s reply to Lara
He ends the letter signed “From your new friend, Dr. Hisham”, which is probably the best part of the letter. Regardless, it’s something that Lara will likely remember for life, simply because Datuk Dr Noor Hisham didn’t think it was beneath his station to answer a little girl’s letter.
