224 Medical Staff Tested Positive For Covid-19, But None From Treating Covid-19 Patients

The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported that 224 medical workers have tested positive for Covid-19.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said although they have contracted the coronavirus, these healthcare workers were not involved in treating Covid-19 patients.
He said the bulk of the infection came from within their own communities which constitutes around 67% (150 cases) out of the total of 224.
Meanwhile, 41 cases or 18% were said to have links to patients.
It’s reported that 29 came into contact with patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), 9 from patients whose conditions were unknown before getting treatment and 3 were identified from the on the ground screening and other activities.
The remaining 33 cases or 15% is still under investigation.
