Here’s How You Can Redeem Your Free Internet During MCO

As you know, local telco companies are offering free 1GB internet for all its users during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

The free internet can be enjoyed by both postpaid and prepaid customers of Celcom, Digi, Maxis, and U Mobile starting 1 April 2020 until the end of the MCO period. If you are a customer of these telcos, here’s how you can redeem it.

Maxis – Daily Redemption

Free 1GB is offered for all its postpaid and prepaid customers (except MaxisONE customers as they already receive unlimited internet). Redemption of the free internet pass needs to be made daily and can only be used between 8am to 6pm. 

Internet use outside these times will be deducted from your original data pool.

You can redeem the pass from MyMaxis app, MyMaxis Biz app, Hotlink Flex app or Hotlink RED app.

  1. MyMaxis app: Click on Get More Data and select FREE 1GB/Day Pass under Time Based Pass.
  2. Hotlink Flex app: Click on Get More Data and select FREE 1GB/Day Pass under Time Based Pass.
  3. Hotlink RED app: Click on the Homepage Banner and select FREE 1GB/Day Pass. You can also find the Pass under ‘Shop’ tab.

U Mobile – One Time Redemption

Free data is offered to all prepaid, postpaid, and broadband customers (except for WeChat Go customers) as long as their lines are ‘active’. You only need to redeem the package once to automatically receive free 1GB daily until the end of the MCO period.

The data can be used from 8am to 6pm daily and internet use outside these times will consume data from other data packages you’ve subscribed.

To check your quota balance, prepaid users can dial *118*6# while postpaid users can dial *118*7#

To redeem dial the numbers below.

  1. Postpaid: *118*7*6#
  2. Prepaid: *118*6*7#

Celcom – Automatic

Celcom’s free 1GB data is offered to all active prepaid and postpaid customers. It will be automatically provisioned into customers’ account on a daily basis.

The free data is only available for use between 8am and 6pm. If you exceed 1GB of use or use the internet outside the times stated, data will be deducted from your base internet quota as per normal.

You can check your quota balance via the Celcom Life app or dial *118# (postpaid) and *118*1*1*2# (prepaid).

Digi – Free Internet and Calls

Digi postpaid and broadband customers (except Postpaid Infinite Plan subscribers) will receive free 1GB internet daily, for use between 8am and 6pm.

Redemption can be made through the MyDigi app.

Meanwhile, Digi prepaid and prepaid broadband customers can get free internet and calls as per below:

  1. Free 300MB + 5min calls when you reload RM10 – RM29.99. Valid for 3 days.
  2. Free 1GB + 15min calls when you reload RM30 and above. Valid for 7 days.

YooDo – No Time Limits

All ‘active’ YooDo customers get 1GB free internet every day from 30 March to 14 April 2020. This package is not limited by a daily time frame.

The data will be automatically credited into your plan on 30 March and will be displayed in your current balance. What’s more, any remaining unused data from the 1GB received from previous days will be accumulated until your plan renews/expires.

Unifi Mobile – 999GB Hotspot

Unifi is giving out complimentary 999GB of LTE hotspot pass to all Unifi Mobile Postpaid subscribers (Unifi Mobile 99, webe RM79, and Unifi Mobile Pek Jasa) and Unifi Mobile Biz Postpaid subscribers (Unifi Mobile Biz 99, and Unifi Mobile Biz 79).

Redemption isn’t required as the pass will be automatically enabled. The offer has been extended to 14 April 2020.
