COVID-19: King & Queen Quarantined After 7 Istana Negara Staffers Test Positive

After earlier confirming that seven employees tested positive for COVID-19, the Palace has now confirmed that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdulah Sultan Ahmad Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are placed under a 14-day quarantine.

Comptroller of the Royal Household, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, said that although the royal couple themselves have tested negative for the virus, they have been undergoing the 14-day quarantine since yesterday.

Contact tracing is currently underway with all those that have been in close contact with the seven.
