Only Heads of Household Allowed Outside Due To Movement Control Order
During a press conference earlier today, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said that only one representative of a family is allowed to go out to purchase daily essentials under the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Whether someone wants to buy their daily needs or medical supply, only the head of the family is allowed to go out.

This does not include workers in the essential sector who must go to work.
We called the MCO hotline to confirm whether or not there will be police enforcement for those who go out as a group of multiple people.
The police may stop you, but any other disciplinary action will be up to their discretion.

While it is unlikely that you would be issued a summons for breaking the MCO, recreational activities such as jogging are greatly discouraged.
Again, the MCO is put in place to flatten the curve of the spread of COVID-19. This means that the fewer people moving around, the better.
So if you’re able to go grocery shopping or buy medical supplies on your own, please go alone to comply with the MCO.
