Msian students bag 5 medals at international robotics competition in S. Korea

Malaysian kids never cease to amaze!

Primary students from 2 local schools made the nation proud at the international 2019 Maker Robot Festival which took place in South Korea.

The robotics team from SK Seri Terentang (SKST), Pahang and SK Putrajaya Presint 11-3 (SKPP 11), terminated their competition and won 5 medals including gold!

Making their very first international debut, 5 students from SKST managed to wipe out 30 other teams from South Korea, Japan, China and the Philipines in the Sumo-Bot tournament to take home the gold!

Previously, the team had dominated at the Malaysia National MakeX Robotics Competition.

SKST would soon be representing Malaysia at the international MakeX World Championship 2019 set to take place in China this November.

Amazingly, the school was initially unable to provide funding for the team to compete in any national or international competitions.

But the persistent efforts of students, teachers and parents, who even spent money out of their own pocket clearly paid off as the kids were given a chance to showcase their marvellous robotic talents on the world stage.

Meanwhile, students from SKPP 11 took home 4 medals in different categories of the international tournament!

Congratulations to SKST and SKPP 11 for the amazing effort and performance!
