Seven men from Skudai, Johor Bahru, were arrested for trespassing into the SAJ Ranhill’s pump house.
According to Bernama, Iskandar Puteri district police chief ACP Dzulkhairi Mukhtar believes that the men were intoxicated.
A worker at the pump house heard loud noises at around 10am and found the men bathing merrily in the water tank.
The worker alerted SAJ Ranhill’s patrol unit, who ordered the men to stop.
After being ignored by the merry men, the workers called the police to escort them away.
The men, aged between 22 and 24, were detained at about 10.50am. None of them were carrying their MyKads.
The SAJ Ranhill’s patrol unit inspected the water tank and determined that there was no damage done.
The SAJ Ranhill pump house is responsible for water supply services in Johor.
The police are now applying for a remand order and the case is being investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code and Section 25 (1) (n) of the National Registration Act 1990.
If our fellow Johoreans find their water tasting a little funny, well, now you know.
