Just when folks in Miri thought they could have a breather, the haze has come back again due to forest-fires caused by irresponsible individuals.
These forest-fires are located in two separate locations adjacent to the Eastwood Golf Course, which has caused the haze into the city centre.
It is estimated to be around 60 hectares in size, and the other fire which is about a km away is about 24 hectares in size.
This is the second time that the fires broke out in Kuala Baram where it was reported to have caused the haze earlier this month.
Currently Miri’s API is at 80 with the Miri Fire and Rescue Department already deploying helicopters to assist in carrying out aerial water bombing.
