ALL Selangor schools closed until Friday (Sept 20) due to haze

We hoped the haze wouldn’t get any worse, but it has.

Now, the Selangor State Government has released a statement ordering ALL schools in the state, both private and public, to close tomorrow (Sept 19) until Friday (Sept 20).

The school closure is to protect the health of students and teachers following the Malaysian Meteorological Department’s media statement reporting “unhealthy” and “very unhealthy” API levels in the state, which is expected to last until next week.

Meanwhile, all schools in Putrajaya have been closed since yesterday following API readings hitting the 200 mark.

In Penang, a total of 162 schools have closed after the southwestern areas of the state recorded API readings up to 242.

We urge our readers to get the right masks and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their pets from the haze.
