Manager buys meal for customer unable to pay

Here’s a story to prove the generosity of Malaysians!

Filmmaker Gary Chong recounted an act of kindness from a KFC manager a few weeks ago at the Bandar Sunway branch.

As online banking and credit card systems go offline at midnight, Gary found himself unable to withdraw cash from nearby ATM machines.

Thinking that KFC as a large franchise eatery should accept credit cards regardless, he made his way there and ordered his food.

When it was time to pay, the cashier explained that the credit card terminal was offline.

As Gary turned to leave in hunger, he was stopped by the manager of the chain, offering to pay for the meal.

The manager, now identified as Nazrin Ramli, insisted that a customer should not have to go hungry and paid for the food himself.

It’s a heart-warming story of how Malaysians should treat each other: with love and compassion.
