No, Palestinian students are not taking our taxpayer money

The RM 11 million in scholarships for Palestinian students are not taken from Malaysian scholarship funds.

Lim Kit Siang’s political secretary Syahredzan Johan laid out the facts regarding this education funding:

He points out that the funds mainly comes from private sources, which doesn’t affect scholarships given to local students, neither does it come from taxpayer money.

He claims that to compare the education funds with matriculation quotas are disingenuous, as they are separate issues.
