Ex-MasterChef UK contestant writes ‘My Rendang Isn’t Crispy’ cookbook
Over a year after the quarter finals of MasterChef UK took place in April 2018, That Rendang Lady, or Zaleha Kadir-Olpin is releasing a cookbook.
Its title matches her fame; “My Rendang Isn’t Crispy and Other Favourite Malaysian Dishes.â€
It’s being published by Marshall Cavendish, an international publishing house.
Her book is due to be out in Asia on July 1, 2019, and in the UK on September 16, 2019.
Zaleha, who is currently based in Bristol, England, with her husband has always had dreams of teaching Malaysian dishes.
This book is just another step in fulfilling their dreams.
As of now Zaleha has even collaborated with Asda, the Giant equivalent of hypermarkets in the United Kingdom, for Ramadhan showcasing some of her favourite dishes.
Truly we are proud of her, bringing Malaysia’s name in the international league.
