KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21, 2016:

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak congratulated the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) for declaring a high dividend rate of 6.40% for 2015 despite the economic challenges.

He wanted the EPF to continue efforts to provide the best returns to all its contributors.

“Congratulations EPF for declaring the high 6.40% dividend for 2015 despite facing economic challenges. Continue efforts to give good returns to contributors,” he said in his latest tweet today.

Yesterday EPF declared a dividend rate of 6.40% for 2015 with payments totalling RM38.24 billion.

A total of RM5.98 billion is required to pay every one per cent dividend rate for the year concerned, an increase of 10.13% compared to RM5.43 billion in 2014.
