KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10, 2016:

YouTube has launched an offline feature in Malaysia that allows its mobile app users to view videos without internet connection.

Users are able to use WiFi or mobile data to save videos for offline viewing for 48 hours with easy navigation of the new few feature within the mobile app.

The feature is available for both Android and iOS mobile users.

“We are delighted to launch this new offline experience on YouTube with some of the top Malaysian players in entertainment.

By making these popular videos available for temporary offline viewing, our partners will help fans connect more easily with their favorite content, while also helping bring more viewers to their videos,” said managing director of Google Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and New Emerging Markets Sajith Sivanandan in a statement today.

YouTube vice-president of engineering John Harding added that the new feature also would help users face challenges of data connection with the buffer-free feature.
