ROMPIN, Feb 7, 2016:
Two more individuals will come forward next week to give statements to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) regarding 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) before PAC closes its hearing on the matter, said its chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin.
He said they were the former president and chief executive officer of 1MDB Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi and former 1MDB chairman Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh.
“These two persons will be called on Feb 11 and Feb 12,” he told reporters after handing over a multi-purpose van donated by Bank Rakyat to Masjid Al-Iman Kampung Leban Chondong here today.
Hasan also said the Auditor-General will be briefing the PAC on his findings on the 1MDB issue on Feb 24 and Feb 25.
Meanwhile, Hasan, who is also Rompin MP, said the constituency will be developed in stages as an international eco-tourism destination in the near future.
He added that a special meeting will be held with the relevant authorities to discuss the planning for this development on Feb 18.
