A British woman became a millionaire after buying a bottle of scotch for her brother at an aiport.
Linda Tobin bagged £703,000 (RM2.9 million) when she secured the top prize at Changi Airport in Singapore, according to the Mirror.
The 52-year-old had been automatically put into a draw for the “Be a Changi Millionaire” lottery.
Beating six other finalists, after following the advice of her niece who told her to pick the number three.
The number three has turned out to be Tobin’s lucky number; she was the third finalist to be picked for the draw, it was her third time at Changi Airport and now it has scooped her the life-changing windfall.
She qualified for the draw when she bought the £288 bottle of Laphroaig 25-year old Islay Single Malt Scotch for her brother en-route to Australia via Singapore last year.
