KOTA KINABALU, Jan 21, 2016:
A woman who apparently showed more than her singing talent is being called in by the police for acting indecently in a public place recently.
City police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Chandra was referring to a minute-long video that went viral of a woman who flashed her breasts while singing with a group of buskers at the Suria Sabah shopping complex on Jan 16 at 5pm.
A report was lodged by the shopping complex’s security officer today following a story published in a local daily over the revealing performance.
“Initial investigation revealed that the busking had been carried out at the shopping complex since Dec 25.
“On the said day, apparently three women came and one, wearing a rather revealing outfit, had asked whether she could sing with them.
“Throughout her four-minute performance, she was seen trying to cover her breasts that kept popping out from her very low blouse. She left immediately after the song ended,” said Chandra.
He added that they had yet to identify the so-called performer and were seeking her co-operation to come forward to any police station to help in the investigation.
In addition, police are also calling on one Rayndi Jubidi, 24, to also come forward to help in the investigation under Section 294 of the Penal Code for committing an obscene act in a public place.
The offence carries a jail sentence of three months, or fine, or both if convicted.
