KOTA BARU, Jan 20, 2016:
Solidariti V Kelantan took to the streets in a peaceful assembly at Kompleks Pentadbiran Kerajaan Negeri to hand over a memorandum to delay the freezing of vape licences there.
Solidariti Vape Kelantan representative Mohd Khaleeb Khan Nasir Khan said his side had collected almost 1,000 signatures of vape users to voice their objection to the ban.
He said according to the memorandum, raids on traders who were still running their business after Feb 1, the date given by the state, were also objected.
“The government must study the issue as many people have converted to vaping from smoking which is a healthier choice.
“We have already handed over the court injunction to the federal government regarding the matter and will also hand it over to the state government,” he said at a Press conference here today.
As planned, more than 250 vape traders and users gathered in support of the memorandum.
The Kelantan Menteri Besar’s Press secretary Asri Mat Daud received the memorandum today.
